NOORDWESTER – LICHTENBURG - Die Nasionale Energiereguleerder van Suid-Afrika (Nersa) se Elektrisiteitssubkomitee (ELS) het aanbeveel dat die kleinhandel-elektrisiteitstariefaanpassings in Eskom se kleinhandeltariefplan 2025 (RTP 2025) goedgekeur word.
Dit is volgens die besturende direkteur van EE Business Intelligence en energiekenner Chris Yelland, besturende direkteur van EE Besigheidsintelligensie.

“Ride for a child” charity event in province
NOORDWESTER - LICHTENBURG - The sixth annual motorbike ride charity event takes place from Sunday 9 February to Sunday 2 March 2025 - “Doctors for children drive”.
The purpose of the 2025 “Ride for a Child” 7000km charity motorbike ride around South Africa is to “recruit, as a matter of speech” volunteer private General Practitioners in every town they travel through on their annual motorbike ride as part of our “Doctor’s for children” drive.
Stepmother appears in court for alleged abuse of stepdaughter
NOORDWESTER – VENTERSDORP – A 30-year-old woman was granted R500 bail upon appearance in the Ventersdorp Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 7 February, for assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm.
She is expected to reappear in court on Friday, 7 March. The accused handed herself in on Thursday, 6 February, after becoming aware that members of Potchefstroom Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences (FCS) Unit were looking for her.
Duo appears in court for alleged dealing in drugs
NOORDWESTER – ZEERUST - Kaunda Martin (38), a Zambian national, and Mkumba Jafari Hamisi (41), a Tanzanian national, appeared in the Zeerust Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 31 January, on charges of dealing in drugs.
The pair was arrested by members of the Zeerust K9 on Wednesday, 29 January.
It is reported that police received information about a truck alleged to be transporting drugs from Tanzania to Johannesburg.
