Klerksdorp Record, Klerksdorp - The Hawks’ Priority Crime Specialised Investigation in collaboration with Asset Forfeiture Unit (AFU) successfully secured a forfeiture order to the total value of R349 090 against Agrieneth Mdluli (42).
The forfeiture order was granted by the North West High Court in Mahikeng on May 23.

Klerksdorp Record, Potchefstroom - The local police request the community’s assistance in locating and identifying a man wanted for attempted rape.
“On March 8 at about 15:00, a 21-year-old victim was walking in an open field, near the railway line, close to Vuselela College in Potchefstroom, when an unknown male asked to accompany her. He then grabbed her and forced her into nearby bushes, but she fought him off and managed to escape and call for help.
MM, sister in dock for corruption
Klerksdorp Record, Klerksdorp - The Democratic Alliance (DA) has asked for a special council meeting to discuss the fraud case against Matlosana Municipal Manager (MM) who was arrested over the weekend.
Executive Mayor James Tsolela was scarcely back from sick leave when he had to douse flames this week after it became known that MM Lesego Seametso (37) and her sister, Kelebogile, also an employee of the municipality, were in the dock on charges of theft, fraud, corruption and money laundering. He reacted to the incident by assuring the public that the services at the municipality will not be hampered. “We will uphold the values of transparency, accountability, and integrity in all our endeavours."
Ex MP back behind bars
Klerksdorp Record, Klerksdorp - The High Court of South Africa; North West Division revoked Sibusiso Kula’s bail and he is back behind bars.
According to Adv Dalton Tshinyane, NPA spokesperson, this decision was taken on Monday June 3. “He contravened his bail condition, by approaching witnesses and persuading them to change their statements provided to the state.”
Bodies discovered at landfill site
Klerksdorp Record, Klerksdorp - Klerksdorp Police are investigating a case of murder after two bodies were found inside a vehicle on Saturday morning June 1 near the cemetery.
Turns out the bodies belong to two men that were last seen on Thursday May 30 when they left their homes in Khuma for a job in Jouberton. According to Lt Col Amanda Funani, police spokesperson, the men were reported missing at Khuma SAPS.
