Klerksdorp Midweek, Klerksdorp - Recipients of the SRD grant can breathe a sigh of relief as they will be paid before Christmas this year. The grant is generally paid every month from the 25th onward. The SRD grant will be processed from December 17 to 23. Sassa has confirmed when it will pay recipients in December and January.

Choose Life Personal Development, in collaboration with a local car dealership, brought their impactful “Be A Buddy Not A Bully” campaign to Noordvaal Laerskool in Orkney recently. The campaign focused on educating learners about the importance of kindness, self-worth, and the power of standing up against bullying. Choose Life’s mission remains clear: to inspire young people to embrace their value and treat others with dignity.
Bring joy with toys this weekend
Klerksdorp Midweek, Klerksdorp - The Bring a toy! Run 2024 will be held on Saturday November 23. All bikers are invited to join this project by Bikers Care NW at Star Raceway. The entry fee is R100 and entry is available from 09:00. The mass ride will start at Matlosana Mall at 11:00.

Birthday celebrations at Klerksdorp Old Age Home
The residents of Klerksdorp Old Age Home were treated to a special birthday spoil on October 14 when the home celebrated its 52th year. There were lots of cake and nice goodies to eat with Miss Klerksdorp Shandré Olivier spending some time with the senior citizens. The birthday party was organised by Rouvierré van Tonder from Stilfontein. She was supported by local sponsors who wanted to make the day memorable for citizens. Rouvierré was photographed with Shandré and Hans and Lydia Lindeque who stay in the home.
Dancers return triumphantly
Dancers from Roots Dance Studio participated at the nationals in October 2024 in Cape Town. The dancers of the NW team did extremely well. The organisers thanked the Street Dance Association for this opportunity. Various dancers made the All Star Team, giving them the opportunity to compete internationally. Khumo Machuba, Martelize van Onselen, Zaid Bekker, Mické Seider, Shaelyn Coward, Janke Prinsloo and Khumo Dintwe returned triumphantly from Cape Town.
