Klerksdorp Midweek, Klerksdorp - Douglas Lidén, a music teacher student from the Royal Academy of Music (KMH) in Stockholm, is currently involved with a practical teaching experience at Curro Klerksdorp. Sent by KMH to the NWU, Liden aims to teach music lessons to the learners in the primary school, observe drama lessons and assist Curro Create Sing-It entrants.

Dit was ‘n spoggerige geleentheid waar dames van regoor die streek bymekaar gekom het.

Miss Klerksdorp pageant celebrates jubilee
Klerksdorp Midweek, Klerksdorp - This year, Miss Klerksdorp is 50 years old and probably is one of the longest running beauty pageants in South Africa. A survey and traceable records revealed that the pageant was first hosted in approximately 1974. In the 1990s Klerksdorp Record became involved in the hosting of the pageant and in 2004, the current owner of the pageant, Zee Dyson, came on board as choreographer and stage director.
