Ons het tans geen definitiewe planne om vervaardiging in Lichtenburg te staak nie.
Agrico se fabriek moet 24/7 krag hê om die galvaniseringsaanleg te bedryf. Dit het ons genoodsaak om twee groot kragopwekkers aan te skaf vir die fabriek. Ons is in ‘n baie kompeterende bedryf en moet kostes goed bestuur om ‘n bekostigbare produk te kan lewer.
Four arrested in Coligny for robbery
NOORDWESTER – COLIGNY – Naledi Ingwane (28), Johannes Selwane (54), Raymond Mokgobatlou (54), and Aron Matlala (56), are expected to reappear in the Coligny Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, 3 April for business robbery.
The accused’s court appearance follows an incident in which armed men allegedly robbed a retail shop in Coligny after pointing staff members with firearms on Sunday, 25 February. They took cash, cell phones worth R300 000.00 and other valuables such as laptops and fled the scene driving in a Toyota Quantum vehicle. The suspects were arrested along the R104 road on Sunday, 18 March, by Marikana Police who were conducting routine patrols.
Copper theft wedged
NOORDWESTER - ZEERUST - Bonang Jankie Madisakwane and Paul Tlelimo, both aged 37, are expected to make a second appearance in the Zeerust Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 04 April, for theft and possession of copper cables.
The accused initially appeared in court on Monday, 25, and Wednesday, 27 March, respectively, following arrest by Zeerust Visible Policing members on Saturday 23 March. According to reports, the members were conducting patrol along the R49 road near Lekubu viĺlage when they spotted a white Audi car with Gauteng Province registration number. The car was searched together with the three occupants.
Pre-Easter service held
NOORDWESTER – BIESIESVLEI - Biesiesvlei SAPS held a Pre-Easter service. The scourge of drug abuse, Gender Based Violence (GBV) and Femicide has gripped the community, hence the Spiritual Crime Prevention Forum provided guidance by engaging different churches to combat these crimes.
South African Police Service (SAPS), in partnership with the Community Police Service (CPF) accompanied by the Community in Blue Patrollers observed the death of Christ on Sunday, 24 March at the Uniting Reformed church in conjunction with the seven statements from the cross.
GROGL turns the talk into action
NOORWESTER - LICHTENBURG – God Restore Our Good Life (GROGL) recently walked the talk and turned the talk into action at Tlhabologang in Coligny.
The Chairperson of GROGL, Dr Daniel Buthelezi was accompanied by GROGL Leader of Social Rehabilitation Sector Mr Lucky Tshabalala and Prospective Youth Leader Brother Mashala. The mission is to start small so that this should be seen growing bigger in the eyes of the public, in order for the Movement to have a clear reflection of its growth and development. We were with the teenagers of Tlhabologang Township near Coligny with the intention of striking it while it is still red.
