NOORDWESTER – ZEERUST - Uit eerbied vir al die burgers wat destyds gedurende die Anglo-Boereoorlog gesneuwel het, het AfriForum se Zeerust-tak die terrein waarop die Burgermonument gebou is skoongemaak.
Die tak het die gras op dié terrein, wat 1 600 m² beslaan, gesny en twee sakke vullis weggery. Daar is ook plantdoder op die trappe van die monument gespuit om die groei van onkruid te bekamp.

NOORDWESTER – DELAREYVILLE- Noordwester het in Mei vir Michelle du Plessis leer ken op pad na die Mevrou Suid-Afrika-kroon.
Michelle is steeds in Delareyville besig met haar hoenderboerdery en ander bedrywighede. Misdaadbekamping is ook vir haar ‘n prioriteit. Haar visie is om werklose vrouens in haar omgewing te leer hoe om hulle eie hoenders te voer vir vleis en eiers en daardeur honger en werkloosheid te bekamp.
Donation warms hearts
After requesting a donation from Pepsicon, Kgosi Kgampe, the founding manager of Leretlhabetse Victim Empowerment, was surprised to be summoned to fetch a donation from them.

Cigarettes worth R9.5 million confiscated
NOORDWESTER - ZEERUST - The fight against illicit economic activities gained another success when a suspect was arrested with illicit cigarettes.
A follow-up was made on information received from an attentive farmer on Thursday evening, 27 June, about suspicious activities on his farm in Zeerust, leading to the arrest of a 55-year-old male and the recovery of illicit cigarettes worth R1.5 million. It is alleged that police responded to a call from a farmer who spotted an unknown truck, parked on his farm.
