Klerksdorp Midweek, Klerksdorp - The NW Musikon’s Heartstrings Project, their charity fundraiser, is gaining momentum. This year they have chosen “Mosterdsaad Gemeenskaphulp” as their beneficiary for the project. The Heartstrings project aims to raise funds and product donations through various means, the primary being the Heartstrings concert, which will take place on Friday May 31 at 18:00.

Klerksdorp Midweek, Klerksdorp - The 2024 national and provincial elections will take place on Wednesday May 29. Every voter will get three ballot papers on Voting Day: the National Compensatory ballot, the National Regional ballot and the Provincial Legislature ballot. What are they? The National Compensatory Ballot is the same across the entire country.  It features political parties ONLY, contesting for seats in the National Assembly. 

Klerksdorp Midweek, Klerksdorp - Lawns bowls can be great fun and playing the game for a good cause can be even more fun. The Rotary Club of Orkney is hosting a Charity Bowls Day at Klerksdorp Bowls Club on July 20. This event aims to bring together the business community for a day of fun, friendly competition and fundraising for important charitable causes.

The annual Distinguished Gentlemen’s Ride took place on Sunday May 19. Various runs took place around the world, also in Klerksdorp. The distinguished gentlemen took to their motorcycles and rode through the city, with various pit stops and lots of fun along the way.  The event also has a serious side as it raises funds for men’s mental health and prostate cancer research.
