That is the message from the Department of Water and Sanitation that hosted a public education and awareness programme last week in Dr KK municipalities. The aim is to change people’s behaviour towards wise water use and good hygienic practices.
The Executive Mayor of the City of Matlosana, Cllr James Tsolela supported the initiative and motivated Inyathela Primary School learners to start practising water conservation methods and good health and hygiene.
New water wagon to help fight fires

Through several fundraising efforts as well as the donation from the ward councillor Johannes le Grange, they assembled and restored a firefighter with a 1 000 litre tank and brand new pump.

Teacher eyes Mrs SA crown
Klerksdorp Record, Klerksdorp - A primary school teacher from Klerksdorp is a semi-finalist in the Mrs SA 2024 competition.
Charmoné Swanepoel describes herself as a small town girl with a dream to develop herself and instilling courage, faith and compassion into others around her. She officially set off on her Mrs South Africa journey on February 2, during the pageant’s National Public Casting, held at the Clearwater Mall in Roodepoort.
“Don’t just let your dreams be dreams. Let your dreams become reality. Be the change you want to see and live your life to its utmost fullest potential, cause you are worth it,” said Charmoné.
Stilfontein se vlytige vroue kom bymekaar
Klerksdorp Rekord, Stilfontein - Die Vlytige Damesklub is ‘n sosiale klub op Stilfontein waar vroue maandeliks bymekaarkom om nuwe vaardighede en tegnieke aan te leer.
Hulle vergader elke derde Woensdag van die maand in die kerksaal van Stilfontein Sentraal in Gonubestraat. Die volgende vergadering is op 21 Februarie.
By elke byeenkoms word ‘n demonstrasie gedoen of ‘n werkswinkel aangebied waaraan almal kan deelneem. Hierdie jaar se beplanning sluit ‘n werkswinkel in om blomme van blare te maak, asook die maak van geskenksakkies.
