Klerksdorp Record, Klerksdorp - The esports titles to be played in all MSSA’s school championships and leagues have been announced.
The titles are CS GO, Valorant, FIFA ‘24, eFootball, Rocket League, DotA, Clash Royale, League of Legends, Clash of Clans, Mobile Legends Bang Bang and Street Fighter V.
The growth of esports starts at school level and is the breeding ground for champions. Many Protea esports teams that participate in international esports events are learners.

Ottosdal het uit sy nate gebars op Saterdag 27 Januarie met die jaarlikse Draf en Trap. Volgens Willa Naude, organiseerder, het 882 fietsryers vanjaar deelgeneem. Kenian javelin champion Alexander Kiprotich arrived in South Africa this past weekend to train under the watchful eye of coach Erich Wiese in Klerksdorp. Alexander is an African u20 champion, silver medal winner in the All-African Games and Bronze medallist in the African championship. Wiese said he will be in Klerksdorp for three weeks, also receiving conditioning from biokineticist Monique van Niekerk in preparation for the African Games and the Olympics later this year.

Die groot dag is dié Saterdag 27 Januarie en jy kan nog deelneem al het voorafinskrywings reeds op 15 Januarie gesluit. Voornemende deelnemers kan nog tussen 18:00 en 21:00 op Vrydag inskryf en op die dag tot 30 minute voor die afsit.
Klerksdorp Record, Klerksdorp - An aspiring professional football player from Klerksdorp was offered a scholarship opportunity to join the Putnam Science Academy in Connecticut, USA.
The bursary consists of an academic and soccer bursary. Lebohang MR Mathikga (18) has his heart set on joining the US school. He played for THS Klerksdorp from 2019 until 2022 and then went on to play in the United Kingdom.
More recently he trained with the pro club Al Nasr SC in Dubai.
The financial aid package provided by the school amounts to more than R1 million but the young man still needs about R175 000 to cover the costs of extras that includes uniforms and health insurance.
