Klerksdorp Midweek, Klerksdorp - Die Matlosana Bird Parkrun het ‘n glorieryke naweek gehad. Verskeie mylpale is bereik op Saterdag 23 Maart en daar was ‘n groot opkoms ten spyte van die langnaweek en skoolvakansie. Sowat 189 persone het aan die Parkrun deelgeneem.
Parkrun is nie net vir atlete nie: dit is vir almal van groot tot klein, jonk en oud, lank en kort, man en vrou en vir alle kulture van die reënboognasie. Jy kan die Parkrun hardloop, draf of stap. Ouers kan hul klein kinders in ‘n stootwaentjie saamneem. Ongelukkig word honde nie toegelaat by die Parkrun nie, maar enige iemand is welkom om die kameraadskap en pret wat Parkrun bied, te kom ervaar.
City gets three new football tournaments
Lentswe, Klerksdorp - Gesond Vilakazi, the former captain of Jomo Cosmos, is opening pathways for administrators, coaches and Matlosana to scale the heights of the football world through the introduction of the GVF Sporting Chance Programme.
The GVF Sporting Chance Programme is all about exposing young talent, leadership skills, how to be a role model and to adhere to the DDD (discipline, determination and dedication).

Klerksdorp Midweek, Hartbeesfontein - The Orkney & Klerksdorp Animal Shelter is inviting you to spend Human Rights Day with them. A balloon run and fun day will take place on the farm Hartbeesfontein, Berg Street in Hartbeesfontein on March 21.
Klerksdorp Rugby in die finaal
Klerksdorp Midweek, Klerksdorp - Klerksdorp Rugby speel in die finaal van die PVR-reeks. Die klub het die afgelope naweek in die semi-finaal in Potchefstroom teen Potchefstroom Dorp Rugbyklub gespeel en as oorwinnaar uit die stryd getree. Die wedstryd het op Olën Park plaasgevind.
Riveting action at Matlosana Cup
Klerksdorp Midweek, Klerksdorp - The 12th Matlosana Karate Cup was held this past weekend at the Banquet Hall.
It was a scintillating experience as always, with 360 participants exchanging heavy blows. Matlosana karate under the leadership of Sensei Thomas Mayekani, excelled, producing 27 winners on Saturday March 2 and six on Sunday March 3. “We would like to thank the organising team, parents and all visiting teams for making the event a resounding success,” said Mayekani.
