Rising star

Merveille Ntambwe from Kingston Private School is a promising young athlete. On January 24 she achieved a first place for long jump (3,96m) and a third place for the 80m (12.28 sec). At the Klerksdorp championships on January 30-31, she achieved first place in long jump (3.85m) and a second place in the 80m (12.19 sec). At the APO on February 7, she achieved first place in long jump (3.60m) and second place in 80m (12.08 sec). At the Dr KK athletics event on February 21, she won both the long jump (4.09m) and 80m (12.14 sec).

Hoffies se akademie is tops

Laerskool La Hoff is aangewys as die beste presterende laerskool in akademie vir 2024. Dit is vir die Refentse-streek wat Klerksdorp insluit. Dié toekenning is gegrond op hul besonderse gemiddeld en slaagsyfer. Anton Smith het die toekenning namens die skool ontvang. Saam met hom is Bennie Monale (Distrikte Direkteur) en Maurie Seokolo (Streekskoördineerder).

Hoërskool Wolmaransstad wen die platinum inter

Klerksdorp Rekord, Klerksdorp - Die platinum inter (Groep B) byeenkoms het verlede week by die Kenneth McArthur-stadion in Potchefstroom plaasgevind.

HTS Klerksdorp was vanjaar die gasheer vir die groot byeenkoms met atlete en leerlinge van Hoërskool Schoonspruit, HTS Klerksdorp, Wagpos, Ferdinand Postma, Bekker, Hoërskool Fochville, Curro Klerksdorp, HTS Potch, Aseo (Ashton Johns, Stilfontein, Educators High en Orkney), Wolmaransstad en Millision (Milner, New Vision).

THS helps a neighbour

On Thursday February 6, THS Klerksdorp held a Help-A-Neighbor Day. Janie Schneider School was the recipient of the donation which will go towards the purchasing of the school’s athletics uniform. Seen in the picture is Leon Mtimkulu (THS head boy), Alicia Walters (SGB member), Helen Dos Santos Nunes (Principal Janie Schneider School), Julia Rantekane (DH Janie Schneider School), Rodwill Miles (THS Principal) and Mbally Matemba (THS headgirl).

Schoonies se toppresteerders

Hoërskool Schoonspruit se interhuisbyeenkoms het puik prestasies opgelewer. Die volgende atlete is as toppresteerders aangewys: Kgotatso Diphoko (junior victor ludorum), Suné van Rhyn (junior victrix ludorum), Jeidi Engelbrecht (senior victrix ludorum) en Duncan Fritz (senior victor ludorum).
