Klerksdorp Record, Potchefstroom - The NWU has reached full capacity for its 2024 intake with no extra places available. More than 181 000 applications were received of which only 11 717 could be accommodated in terms of their approved enrollment targets.
“The NWU is proud of every Grade 12 learner who has completed their school careers successfully and want to wish them well in advance as they embark on their various endeavours. Unfortunately, we are just not able to accommodate any walk-ins who did not qualify during the application process last year,” said deputy registrar Prof Michael Temane.
Mev Klerksdorp help ouetehuis

Music can change lives
Klerksdorp Record, Klerksdorp - NW Musikon believes that music can change lives.
A student of the music school excelled during his matric year and the management is bursting with pride. Sandrie van Deventer was Asish Mathew’s piano teacher.
She remembers when he came through the doors of the NW Musikon as a young boy and started playing piano. He obtained his Grade 7 from Trinity College in London (with a distinction) and on top of that seven A’s in matric.
The teen has been accepted to the University of Pretoria for medical studies. NW Musikon wishes him all the best, and look forward to seeing how he changes the world.
