Klerksdorp Rekord, Orkney - Laerskool Saamtrek was die afgelope naweek die gasheer van die super 12-gholftoernooi wat by Orkney Gholfklub aangebied is. Die prestige byeenkoms is bygewoon deur spanne van 23 skole oor vier provinsies.
Gholfspelers van Noordwes, Gauteng, Mpumalanga en Limpopo het deelgeneem.

Klerksdorp Record, Klerksdorp - Curro High School celebrated learners’ achievements of 2023 with a prize giving ceremony for cultural and sport highlights. The school’s grade 12 valedictorians were also celebrated.
Thato Tshabalala is this year’s Dux Scholar. She achieved an average of 88% and received her third Honour Society badge. She is the best student in English, EGD, Mathematical Literacy and Visual Arts.
Marco du Preez is second best and received awards for best student in Afrikaans FAL and Physical Science. Emmanuel Ucheya is the best student in Life Science.
Two dancers in Curro, Mitaylle Johnson and Bontle Tsatsi received an award for exceptional achievement with their prowess on dance stages all over the country. Both qualified to represent South Africa in Serbia next year for the Euro Dance International competition as well as a dance competition in New York.
Klerksdorp Rekord, Klerksdorp - Albei Laerskool Saamtrek se ope-krieketspanne (o/13A en o/13B) het deurgedring na die Noordwes Finale wat die week in Potchefstroom plaasgevind het.
Die o/13A-span het in die semi-finale vir Laerskool Mooiriver gewen en die o/13B-span het Laerskool Baillie Park uitgeskakel.
Die A-span het in die finaal teen Laerskool Bailie Park te staan gekom en die B-span teen Laerskool Mooirivier.
Die beslissing was teen druktyd nog nie bekend nie.
Klerksdorp Record, Klerksdorp - Mind Sports South Africa’s (MSSA) Online School League started up and the NWU is onboard as the title sponsor.
It is the richest official school league in the country. Not only can learners earn funds for their school esports, but one such expert learner earns a fantastic bursary to the value of R30 000 to assist in his studies at the prestigious university.
Esports allows all schools to play on an equal playing ground as public and private schools battle it out against each other. KHS and Dawnview High School share the title as best school. They divided the R4 000 equally.
Marnus van der Merwe of KHS won the Clash Royale and was rewarded with a R30 000 bursary and R1 000 cash. He also won Streetfighter V and bagged R6 000.
Nathan Strange of KHS won Rocket League Premier 1 v 1 and Tiaan Koen, also KHS, bagged the FIFA 23 Premier title.
Clash of Clans was won by William Brink of Volkies. Dawnview players bagged titles for eFootball and the sportsmanship award.
Middies won League of Legends and PrONHS won CS:GO and Mobile Legends Premier. Middies and PrONHS shared the prizes for Rocket League - Premier - 3 v 3.
All players finishing in the top three places have all rightfully earned a place in MSSA’s 2024 National Team Trials should such athletes still be registered learners in the 2024 season.
