Thabo Pelesane is a TB Ambassador and well-known DJ in Klerksdorp. He is passionate about community development and shares his recipe for chicken kebabs that he enjoys with a scrumptious homemade coleslaw.

THABO PELESANE’S MAGLERALICIOUS

Ingredients:
Coleslaw salad
• 1 head green cabbage, finely shredded
• 2 large carrots, finely shredded
• 3/4 cup best-quality mayonnaise
• 2 tablespoons sour cream
• 2 tablespoons grated Spanish onion
• 2 tablespoons sugar, or to taste
• 2 tablespoons white vinegar
• 1 tablespoon dry mustard
• 2 teaspoons celery salt
• Salt and freshly ground pepper
Kebabs
• Chicken thigh meat
• sugar
• Worcester sauce
• vinegar
• black pepper
• paprika
• lemon juice
• salt
• red bell pepper
• chilli

Method:
Coleslaw
• Chop green cabbage and carrots. Pour mayonnaise and sour cream over.
• Add onion, sugar, and white vinegar. Add mustard, celery salt, salt and pepper.
• Whisk everything in a bowl.
Kebabs
• Pre-heat grill.
• Place kebabs on a rack over a roasting pan and position 15cm below grill element.
• Grill for 15–20 minutes, turning occasionally and basting frequently with marinade.
