Mecé Rossouw loves the great outdoors, her husband and a sweet treat now and then. Her recipe for waffles is quick to make and delicious. You can top it with anything you like. She likes using fresh fruit and cream.

WAFFLES

Ingredients:
• 1 cup flour
• 1 tsp baking powder 
• 175 ml milk
• 2 eggs
• 100 ml melted margarine
• 3 tbs sugar
• Pinch of salt

Method: 
• Separate egg whites.
• Beat egg whites until firm & fluffy in separate bowl.
• Add all dry ingredients into mixing bowl.
• Add eggs yolks, melted margarine and milk together and then add to dry ingredients.
• Mix until creamy (no lumps).
• Fold in the egg whites with a wooden spoon or spatula.
• Spoon mixture into waffle maker and bake.
• Serve with fresh fruit (of your choice) cream or ice cream, sprinkles, cinnamon or syrup.
